A bit about me and my background

OBJECTIVE

Letcombe Production – The Business Agency For Arts Organisations. We combine managerial and creative experience to transform artists and or arts organisations. We have worked with communities, start-ups and established companies, and with each, we have provided entrepreneurial, managerial, and creative experience to enhance and expand both sustainabilty, community cohesion and business development. We have the toolset to implement and develop business, communications, project management, communities and sustainabilty strategies to affect individuals, organisations, and communities.

OUTCOMES

The Creative Entrepreneurs Academy delivered training and mentoring to over 750 individuals and 150 organisations. I have provided over 2000 hours of mentoring since 2015 and developed over 25 different CPD and Career Development training programmes. Produced research on the needs and economic situation of creatives living and working in Ireland to help establish CPD programmes to meet these needs.

Developed training programmes for the Innovation Academy, TCD; NorthEastern University, Boston; Champlain College, Vermont; CIEE, Dublin. Local Enterprise Offices in Wicklow, Wexford, Clare, Dublin, and Leitrim.

OUTCOMES

I took the Centre for Creative Practices from a start-up to the national development agency for migrant and culturally diverse artists in Ireland.

As an organisation, it has collaborated with over 1,500 migrant and culturally diverse artists, 200 arts organisations and has had over 20,000 audience members. CFCP has secured over €350,000 worth of funding since its inception in 2009 with over €145,000 coming from national development agencies, €25,000 from Local Arts Offices and €225,000 from private and corporate organisations.

In recognition of the work CFCP performed, it was the Main Arthur Guinness Fund award in 2012 and named in the Purpose Economy 100 for Europe in 2014.

OUTCOMES

Project managed a framework 7 European Union 3-year five partner project with a budget of over €750,000 – The Liffey Project of new writing from Europe.

I developed and managed the creative writing courses given in the Irish Writers’ Centre, on average 20 courses per semester that were delivered to over 1,500 people.

We introduced new courses aimed at career development, namely on Publishing, Business and career development.

Project managed the Glen Dimplex New Writers’ Awards, 2007 & 2008 and developed the Hourglass series of events with six prominent Irish writers, including Colm Tobin, Dermot Bolger, John Banville and Anne Enright.

I developed the Voices series in conjunction with Temple Bar of open-air events in Meeting Place Square that included readings and spoken word events using experienced and new writers.
